Teaching Assistant Level 2
Hours of work: 30 hours a week, Term Time - Monday - Friday 8.25am - 3.00pm with a 35 minute unpaid break
There is an expectation that you may need to attend training or staff meetings outside of your working hours, this will be paid as overtime.
Salary Details FTE: LG Band 3, points 5-6 - £24,790 - £25,183 (FTE)
Actual Salary: £16,902 - £17,558 yearly equivalent based on experience
We are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and a dedicated professional to join our team at Moat Community College as a Teaching Assistant
The right candidate will have
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification e.g. Teaching Assistant awards or CACHE level 2 certificate in child care and education.
- GCSE A-C Math's/English
- Experience working with SEND students with attachment difficulties and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs) would be highly desirable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
- A positive ‘can do ‘attitude to provide support and assistance to the teaching staff within the department.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting student's needs
- An energetic practitioner with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A person who is calm, caring, approachable, but firm
- A hard-working individual
- A further/higher education subject specialism would be desirable but not essential
